As part of the 2026 national tourism promotion plan, the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism will lead the country's participation in ITB Berlin 2027. The Viet Nam tourism pavilion is expected to cover 500 square metres and occupy a central location in Hall 26.

Scheduled to take place in Germany from March 16 to 18, 2027, the trade fair will provide a platform for Viet Nam to showcase its destinations, tourism policies and products, as well as APEC 2027. Activities will include press conferences, business networking receptions, happy hours and Vietnamese culinary showcases.

According to the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism, participation in ITB Berlin 2027 will play an important role in maintaining and strengthening the visibility of Viet Nam's tourism brand at one of the world's largest and most influential travel trade platforms.

The event will also offer Vietnamese businesses and localities opportunities to engage directly with international tourism groups, tour operators, airlines, distribution platforms and media organisations.

It will enable them to establish partnerships and introduce Vietnamese tourism products into distribution networks across European and other international markets.

These efforts are expected to help diversify source markets, reduce dependence on traditional markets, attract higher-spending visitors who tend to stay longer, increase tourism revenue from international arrivals, and enhance Viet Nam's competitiveness as a destination.

First held in 1966, ITB Berlin is recognised as "The World's Leading Travel Trade Show", bringing together the global tourism ecosystem and connecting destinations, businesses, service providers and industry professionals.

The 2027 edition will be held under the theme "Travel and Tourism in Transition", highlighting the industry's constant evolution and the changes reshaping the global tourism market.

The trade fair will feature specialised segments including adventure tourism, business travel, luxury tourism, medical tourism and travel technology.

The ITB Berlin Convention will also take place alongside the exhibition, providing a forum for industry professionals to discuss emerging trends and innovations shaping the future of tourism.
