Ambassador Almatrooshi pointed to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s official visit to the UAE last year as a milestone that invigorated bilateral trade. He expressed optimism that a growing number of UAE tourists would soon visit Viet Nam, laying the groundwork for expanded cooperation in culture and tourism.
He also urged Vietnamese companies, including those in Tay Ninh, to actively join international trade fairs, particularly in the UAE, to connect with investors from the region and beyond.
The UAE always stands ready to facilitate linkages between Vietnamese firms and UAE partners, he said, hoping future cooperation would yield tangible results.
Nguyen Hong Thanh, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said relations between Viet Nam and the UAE have been growing in recent years, with the Gulf nation emerging as one of Viet Nam’s key economic, trade and investment partners in the Middle East.
Thanh underscored Tay Ninh’s strategic position linking Ho Chi Minh City with Cambodia’s capital of Phnom Penh, through the Moc Bai and Xa Mat international border gates. The province also serves as a gateway to the Mekong sub-region and holds ample potential in renewable energy, hi-tech agriculture, processing industries, logistics, trade-services, and cultural and spiritual tourism, he said.
He wished that the diplomat would encourage more UAE investors to explore opportunities in Tay Ninh, assuring that local authorities would provide them with a transparent, safe, and efficient investment environment to support their endeavors.
