Rander Peña emphasised that the Great Spring Victory of 1975 was a triumph of justice, of progressive forces and peace-loving people worldwide, including the people of Venezuela.
He added that this victory has been, is, and will continue to be an inspiration for nations across the world struggling for independence, freedom, self-determination, justice and social progress.
For her part, Venezuela’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tatiana Pug shared that during her three years working in Vietnam from 2020 to 2023 as the Venezuelan Ambassador, she had the opportunity to study deeply about Vietnamese history, Ho Chi Minh’s ideology and the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV).
She affirmed that more than 95 years of practice have confirmed that the CPV’s wise and correct leadership and Ho Chi Minh’s ideology are the primary factors determining all victories of the Vietnamese revolution, with the great triumph in the resistance war against the US being one of the most exemplary pieces of evidence.
Speaking at the commemoration, Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Vu Trung My expressed sincere gratitude to countries, governments, movements, organisations and peace-loving, progressive people worldwide, including the people and progressive forces of Venezuela who have fervently supported Viet Nam’s righteous struggle.
He emphasised that 50 years after achieving victory and nearly 40 years of renovation, Viet Nam has recorded important accomplishments across various fields.
Viet Nam’s overall potential has been strengthened, and its prestige and position on the international arena continue to be elevated.
On the same day, the Vietnamese Embassy coordinated with the Antonio Jose de Sucre International Youth Leadership Training School to organise a photo exhibition showcasing Viet Nam’s economic reform achievements.
