VFFCC President Do Van Chien presented 208 gifts to poor households in Nam Cuong, Tan Lap, and Xuan Lac Communes, as well as 120 gifts to workers and employees who are living in difficult circumstances in Cho Don District.
The delegation also gave a gift to Nam Cuong District and 300 million VND to support the building of a kitchen at Pu Luon School in Nhan Mon Commune, Pac Nam District.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Chien extended wishes of a good new year to the local people. He also asked people in Bac Kan Province, in general, and Cho Don District, in particular, to uphold solidarity and deep trust in the leadership of the Party and State to overcome difficulties and create all conditions for their children to go to school, protect the ecological environment, maintain hygiene and prevent diseases.
The local Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and other organisations should pay attention to taking good care of social security for people.
