Vice President attends Ninh Binh’s first Patriotic Emulation Congress

Ninh Binh Province held its first Patriotic Emulation Congress for the 2025–2030 period, on September 21.

Authorised by the state president, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented the First-class Labour Order to the Party Committee, administration, and people of Ninh Binh Province for their outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement titled “the whole nation joins hands to build new-style rural areas” in the 2021–2025 period.

Vo Thi Anh Xuan, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice State President, and First Vice Chairwoman of the Central Emulation and Commendation Council, attended the congress.

In her address to the congress, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan acknowledged and highly appreciated the results, achievements and important contributions of the emulation movement and commendation work to the comprehensive development of Ninh Binh over the past five years.

To contribute to the successful implementation of the Party’s major policies, she urged the province to build on its results and achievements while fully tapping its potential, advantages, and development space after the merger so as to accelerate breakthroughs under a new growth model. The goal is for Ninh Binh to become a centrally-run city by 2030, with modern industry, high-quality tourism and services, and a green urban environment linked with heritage; and to rank among the leading localities nationwide in terms of per capita income growth.

Launching the emulation movement for 2025–2030, Truong Quoc Huy, Secretary of the Ninh Binh Party Committee and head of the provincial National Assembly deputy delegation, called on all cadres, Party members, civil servants, armed forces personnel, and the people of Ninh Binh both at home and elsewhere to actively respond to the patriotic emulation movement, uphold solidarity and creativity, and join hands with determination to build a prosperous, civilised, and happy homeland.

The congress also approved the delegation of 36 representatives to attend the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress.

On the occasion, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented First-, Second- and Third-class Labour Orders from the state president to individuals with outstanding achievements in their work and emulation movements, contributing to the cause of building socialism and safeguarding the Fatherland.

She also awarded scholarships from the Vietnam Children’s Fund worth 200 million VND to disadvantaged students with good academic results in Ninh Binh and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers attending the congress.

Many outstanding collectives and individuals in the 2020–2025 patriotic emulation movement were presented with the government’s emulation flags and certificates of merit from the prime minister and the chairman of the provincial people’s committee.
