Unique Nha Xa Silk in Ninh Binh Province

The traditional Nha Xa silk weaving craft, based in Duy Tan Ward, Ninh Binh Province, was formed in the late 13th century and early 14th century.

At present, the village has about 400–500 looms, supplying more than 100,000 metres of silk each month. Among many renowned products, Nha Xa silk still holds its own position thanks to the meticulous and painstaking efforts of the weavers, producing lightweight silk that is slow to fade.

Made from natural silk threads, and going through multiple stages of reeling, weaving, bleaching, polishing, dyeing, and pressing dry, the product features a smooth texture, delicate patterns, breathable and cool to wear, resistant to wrinkling, with a non-stick surface, cool in summer, and warm in winter.
