Video: Digital ID codes for properties to be implemented from March 1, 2026

From March 1, 2026, each real estate asset, including individual houses, apartment units and products within property development projects, will be assigned a unique digital ID code. The regulation is stipulated in Government Decree No. 357 on the construction and management of the housing and real estate market information system and database.

Under the decree, the data system will be managed in a unified manner from the central to local levels, under the stewardship of the Ministry of Construction. The digital ID code, comprising a combination of numbers and letters, will be issued exclusively to each real estate product, with the aim of enhancing transparency, supporting transaction management and preventing legal risks.

The database will comprehensively integrate information on projects, purchase and sale prices, notarised transactions, legal status, as well as data on housing ownership by organisations and individuals. Relevant ministries and agencies are responsible for sharing and connecting data to ensure synchronised and effective system operation.

The implementation of digital ID codes is expected to contribute to the modernisation of management practices and the development of a transparent and sustainable real estate market.
