Associate Prof. Dr. Duong Trung Y emphasised that the visit is of significant importance as it provides an opportunity to further strengthen and deepen the academy’s cooperation with partners in South Africa.

Mokonyane stated that the visit to the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics was part of the ANC’s efforts to implement the resolution adopted at its 55th congress, which aims to promote the party’s foreign policy and strengthen traditional ties with partners.

The ANC places strong emphasis on cadre development, particularly in enhancing leadership capacity, she stressed. Accordingly, the party is heavily investing in political training and promoting collaboration between South African training institutions and their counterparts across the region and the world.

The host and guest acknowledged the substantive cooperation between the academy and South African partners, which has significantly contributed to the overall development of the bilateral relations.

They agreed to further deepen collaboration between the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the ANC’s or Tambo School of Leadership in the areas of leader and manager training, political theory research, as well as academic and expert exchanges in public governance, public policy, and strategic-level capacity building.
