In the plenary session, Quan shared Viet Nam’s experience in combating money laundering, corruption, and asset recovery, and proposed measures to strengthen cooperation among prosecutorial agencies of ASEAN member states and China.

He stressed the need to complete legal frameworks for fighting crime, ensure timely mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, enhance training and knowledge exchange, and apply advanced technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, to support prosecutors in fulfilling their duties.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the heads of delegations from China and ASEAN signed a joint declaration affirming their commitment to more effective collaboration against money laundering, corruption, and asset recovery from criminal activities, thereby contributing to security, peace, stability, and development in the region and beyond.

The conference serves as an annual forum for top prosecutorial leaders from both sides to exchange insights and set directions for joint efforts in tackling transnational crime.
