Viet Nam Navy participates in Multilateral Naval Exercise MILAN 2026 in India

On the morning of January 28, at the naval port of Brigade 171, Ship 17 of Brigade 171, Naval Region 2, together with the working delegation of the Viet Nam People’s Navy, departed to begin the voyage to participate in activities within the framework of the Multilateral Naval Exercise MILAN 2026 in India. Colonel Le Dinh Nghi, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Region, serves as Head of the working delegation.

According to the plan, the working delegation and Ship 17 will pay courtesy calls on the local authorities where the ship docks and on Lumut Naval Base of the Royal Malaysian Navy, organise reception banquets, and conduct cultural, artistic and sports exchanges. In India, Ship 17 and the delegation will take part in the Multilateral Naval Exercise MILAN 2026.

The trip, undertaken at the invitation of the Royal Malaysian Navy and the Indian Navy, aims to consolidate and further strengthen the friendly and cooperative relations between the Viet Nam People’s Army and Navy and the armed forces and navies of other countries.

Throughout the upcoming voyage, the ship will overcome the harsh conditions of the sea to reach international friends, carrying with it a message of friendship, peace and prosperity in the region and around the world.
