The event, organised by the Vietnam Banking Association and the International Data Group was held to honour outstanding banks and banking service providers who have made significant contributions to the country’s banking sector.
VietinBank won prizes in the in the retail banking and security initiative categories. It has branches across 63 provinces and cities, and is one of the country’s leading commercial banks.
Over recent years, the lender has also focused on strengthening its information technology and security systems.
VietinBank currently holds ten million personal accounts and total assets of over US$21 billion.
