As the leading trade fair in the Balkans, the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair attracted 1,100 participants, including leading businesses from Greece, the Balkan region, and 19 countries worldwide.
Viet Nam’s presence at the fair featured a pavilion organised by the Vietnamese Embassy and three Vietnamese enterprises. It showcased a diverse range of products, ranging from traditional cuisine and handicrafts to dried fruits, preserved foods, tea, and coffee.

The colourful Vietnamese pavilion drew strong interest from visitors, including the Greek Deputy Minister of Economy and Development, ambassadors of Bangladesh and Pakistan, an advisor to India’s Ministry of Textiles, Greek enterprises and business associations, as well as large numbers of Greek citizens.
With tens of thousands of visitors each day, the fair provided an opportunity to promote Viet Nam and bring its image closer to the Greek public, businesses in the Balkans, and the wider world.
On the occasion, the Vietnamese Embassy in Greece also introduced and connected Vietnamese enterprises participating in the fair with Greek partners, particularly regarding dried fruit products and labour supply.
Within the framework of the event, Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong attended the opening address of the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair delivered by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Ambassador Pham Thi Thu Huong also met Greek Vice President Konstantinos Chatzidakis, introduced him to the Viet Nam pavilion at the fair, and discussed the strong friendship and cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the context of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties.
The Ambassador held further talks with Koukia A. Saranti, President of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises in Thessaloniki, to explore business cooperation opportunities, especially regarding building materials and agricultural products. Both sides agreed to organise direct and online meetings between Vietnamese and Greek businesses in the near future.
