Edessa Mayor Ioannis Tsepkentzis affirmed that the event, together with the cultural traditions, history, and natural beauty shared by the two nations, will contribute to deepening bonds between Viet Nam and Edessa in particular, and with Greece as a whole.
He emphasised that the 50-year milestone represents a new chapter in the bilateral ties, marked by closer and more effective cooperation.
During the event, visitors expressed special interest in traditional Vietnamese cuisine and handicrafts, especially commemorative souvenirs marking the 80th anniversary of Viet Nam’s National Day.
Local residents also enjoyed screenings of films showcasing Viet Nam’s development achievements over eight decades of independence, documentaries on the special friendship between Viet Nam and Greece, as well as works about President Ho Chi Minh and award-winning Vietnamese films honoured at domestic and regional festivals.
