Attending the event were Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Pham Viet Hung, representatives from Suvarnabhumi International Airport and the Thai Immigration Bureau.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Pham Viet Hung highly appreciated Vietnam Airlines' efforts to promote tourism connectivity between Vietnam and Thailand. He emphasised that the launch of this direct flight connecting Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok with Da Nang would contribute to attracting more tourists from Vietnam, Thailand, and third countries to both nations.

Ambassador Pham Viet Hung affirmed that there is still great potential for tourism cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand. During the 2023-2024 period, nearly one million Vietnamese tourists visited Thailand, while 500,000 Thai tourists travelled to Vietnam.
He expressed confidence that with the development of new routes, including the direct flight between Da Nang and Bangkok, Vietnam Airlines would achieve significant success. He also reaffirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand is always ready to support and accompany Vietnamese businesses operating in Thailand.

Ngô Tri Hung, Chief Representative of Vietnam Airlines in Thailand, stated that the opening of the new route marks a significant step forward for Vietnam Airlines in connecting the vibrant capital of Bangkok with Da Nang, a promising destination for tourism and services. He emphasised that the new route would increase Da Nang's visibility among international travellers and further promote tourism cooperation between the two countries.
With the launch of the direct route linking Da Nang and Bangkok, Vietnam Airlines continues to reaffirm its role as a bridge, strengthening its regional flight network. The airline will operate four flights per week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, aiming to meet the growing travel demand between these two leading tourist destinations in the region.
The inaugural flight VN627 took off at 3:15 PM from Da Nang and landed in Bangkok at 5:05 PM.
