Vietnam and Lao foster special solidarity

President Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a reception in Hanoi on November 10, for Politburo member and Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee cum head of its Organisation Commission Sisay Leudetmounsone , who is on a working visit to Vietnam.

Speaking at the reception, President Nguyen Xuan Phucwelcomed the Lao high-ranking delegation led by Politburo member Sisay Leudetmounsone.

The visit of great significance takes place in the context that the two countries are carrying out many activities to celebrate the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Year 2022, the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (September 5, 1962 - 2022) and the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (July 18, 1977 - 2022).

The President congratulated the Lao people on the achievements obtained after nearly 2 years of implementing the Resolution of the 9th National Congress of the Lao Revolutionary Peoples Party and the 5-year socio-economic development plan, and at the same time affirming that Vietnam always tries to continue to support Laos in overcoming difficulties, gradually stabilising and restoring socio-economic development.

For her part, Sisay Leudetmounsone expressed her pleasure at the fruitful development of the Vietnam-Laos special relations across all fields, stating that Laos will work closely with Vietnam to preserve and promote this special relationship of solidarity to future generations of the two nations.

Regarding the cooperation between the Organisation Commissions of the two Parties, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc suggested that the two Commissions work together to coordinate, support and share experiences in Party building, contributing to advise the two Parties and States in formulating guidelines, policies and practical direction,for the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Congress for each Party.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese State leader said that the Party and the State of Vietnam will create the best conditions for Lao students to study in Vietnam, to have a good study environment and be a bridge in promotingrelations between the two countries.
