The event was co-organised by the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Vietnamese Business Association in Russia, and Incentra Company.
The opening ceremony of the event is expected to take place on the morning of October 12 with the participation of many leaders and representatives of ministries, branches, and localities of the two countries, such as the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, and the government of Moscow City and Saint-Petersburg.
The event "Vietnam Days in Russia" was held in the context that the two countries have many opportunities for cooperation, especially in the economic field. In that spirit, the event not only aims to introduce and promote the image of the country, people, and culture of Vietnam to the Russian people, but also to promote trade and investment connections between businesses of the two countries.
"Vietnam Day in Russia" promises to attract large numbers of Russian people and businesses to visit and learn about the country and people of Vietnam as well as to seek opportunities for bilateral cooperation, thus contributing to strengthening further the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia.
In addition to performing arts activities and the introduction of traditional cuisine and culture, an exhibition of Vietnamese goods in Russia and a Vietnam-Russia Business Forum will take place under the framework of "Vietnam Days in Russia".
The trade and investment promotion activities are part of the National Trade Promotion Programme and the 2023 National Brand Programme of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
In particular, the Business Forum is expected to gather over 100 businesses, with a focus on discussing urgent issues in trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, such as import and export prospects, and resolving some obstacles in payment and transportation of goods.
In addition, about 50 Vietnamese businesses will participate in displaying and introducing high-quality products and services, such as garments, footwear, handicrafts, gifts, agricultural products, household goods, interior and outdoor wood, sanitary equipment, household electronics, tourism, and aviation.
