Vietnamese and Lao top legislators attend inauguration of internationally branded project in Laos

A ceremony was held by the BIM and IHG Hotels & Resorts Groups in the Lao capital city of Vientiane on October 18 to inaugurate the Holiday Inn & Suites Vientiane Hotel, the second internationally branded project developed by BIM Group in Laos.

Speaking at the inauguration, Lieutenant General Oudom Sisongkham, Deputy Director of the General Department of Logistics under the Ministry of Public Security of Laos, expressed his sincere thanks to Vietnamese NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Lao NA leader Saysomphone Phomvihane, along with leaders of the NA, Government, ministries and agencies from the two countries, for their attendance to the opening of the Holiday Inn & Suites Vientiane.

He emphasized that the project, a 5-star hotel complex along with a commercial center and Class A offices, is invested by Vientiane Investment Development Co., Ltd., a joint venture between the Ministry of Security of Laos and Hạ Long Production Investment Development Co., Ltd. (BIM Group). This is a key project of significant scale that plays an important role in the cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.

He noted that the project of 5-star hotel-shopping centre and Class A offices complex is invested by Vientiane Investment Development Co., Ltd., a joint venture between the Ministry of Security of Laos and Ha Long Investment Development and Production Company Limited (BIM Group). This is a key project that plays an important role in the cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.

Lieutenant General Oudom Sisongkham also stated that for over a decade, the sustainable cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Laos and BIM Group has resulted in high-quality hotel projects that serve community interests and promote economic and cultural cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

He noted that the inauguration of the Holiday Inn & Suites Vientiane once again demonstrates the effective cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Laos and BIM Group of Vietnam, symbolising the deep friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

The project has a total investment of 90.75 million USD, with Phase 1 having been operational since 2017, which includes the 5-star Crowne Plaza Vientiane Hotel and an office block with nearly 6,000 square metres of rental space. The project’s Phase encompasses the Holiday Inn & Suites Vientiane, an expanded convention centre, and a Class A office and commercial complex.

The Holiday Inn & Suites Vientiane is located in the heart of Chanthabouly District, just a 15-minute drive from Wattay International Airport. The hotel has 10 floors and offers 273 rooms, including 203 standard rooms and 64 premium suites.
