This is the 7th year Central Retail has introduced Vietnamese lychees in Thailand, enriching the appeal of Vietnamese fruits among Thai customers.

At the event, Central Retail introduced to Thai consumers fresh lychees from Vietnam, branded with full GlobalGAP certification information, geographical indication stamps, labels, etc.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Pham Viet Hung expressed his joy at witnessing high quality Vietnamese lychee products being introduced and promoted at the event.

The Ambassador shared that the lychee promotion event demonstrated the efforts of Central Retail and Vietnamese agencies in promoting Vietnamese products in the Thai market, contributing to increasing Vietnam’s exports to Thailand.

Jariya Chirathivat, Executive Vice President of Business Development at Central Group, said that with Vietnam’s lychee season at its peak, the Tops supermarket chain, a business unit under Central Retail Corporation, organised the event to promote lychees from Vietnam from mid-June to early July at 32 Tops Food Hall and Tops Market stores across Thailand to introduce high-quality Vietnamese lychees to Thai consumers.

In addition to lychee, in the future, the Vietnam Trade Office in Thailand will cooperate to bring more Vietnamese fruits to Thailand, such as avocado, rambutan, passion fruit, etc.
