The programme was organised by the General Association of Vietnamese People in the Kansai Region in cooperation with the Vietnamese Youth and Student Association in Japan (VYSA), under the auspices of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Osaka and the Vietnam Youth Federation.
Opening the forum, Le Thuong, Head of the Organising Committee and President of the General Association of Vietnamese People in the Kansai Region, emphasised: “The forum is not only a meeting place but also a platform to ignite the aspiration to rise, affirm the identity and responsibility of Vietnamese youth in Japan in international integration.”
Attending the forum, Nguyen Hai Yen who is in charge of diplomacy, economy and culture at the Vietnamese Consulate General in Osaka, affirmed the role of youth in promoting the national image. According to Yen, young people are cultural ambassadors and a bridge of friendship between the peoples of Viet Nam and Japan.
On behalf of the delegation from Viet Nam attending the forum, Nguyen Kim Quy, Member of the Standing Board of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Federation, expressed the desire to expand connections and accompany overseas Vietnamese youth for the long term. “We believe that the overseas Vietnamese youth generation will be an important force in the journey of building a strong and prosperous country,” Nguyen Kim Quy stated.

The forum included two main discussion sessions: Preserving the Vietnamese language and promoting Culture Among the young generation; aspirations for integration – Vietnamese youth in the global era. Key speakers such as Professor Shimizu Masaaki (Kindai University), Master Le Thuong, along with many exemplary young faces, shared many practical initiatives.
In addition, the forum launched meaningful community activities, including donating the “Vietnamese Youth Bookshelf” and 500 national flags to youth branches. These activities not only express love for the homeland but also help nurture national pride in each young person living far from the Fatherland.
The event concluded with exchanges, networking, sharing of thoughts and proposal of initiatives from youth groups, opening hopes for a Vietnamese youth network in Japan that is united, responsible and integrated.
