Vietravel wins World Travel Awards for second time

Vietravel, Vietnam’s only tourism company to win awards at the World Travel Awards (WTA), was honoured in New Delhi, India on October 10.

Vietravel won ‘Vietnam’s Leading Tour Operator’ and ‘Vietnam’s Leading Travel Agency’. It is also the only tour operator in Asia honoured with the latter.

According to Tran Doan The Duy, Deputy General Director of Vietravel, WTA, established in 1993, is an annual awards ceremony held to honour the best service tourism suppliers in Asia and Oceania.

This is the second consecutive time Vietravel has won an award at WTA, contributing to realising the company’s 2015-2020 plan to become Vietnam’s first multinational tourism company, Duy said.

Established in 1995, Vietravel has recorded significant growth and become a leading tourism company in Vietnam and the Asian region.

During the first nine months of 2014, Vietravel welcomed 457,000 customers and generated VND3.5 trillion (US$164 million) in revenue, up by 25% compared to the year before.

Vietravel has an extensive office network both domestically and abroad, with more than 40 offices nationwide and branches in Cambodia, Thailand, and the US.
