VN-Index closes week with gains

Vietnam’s benchmark VN-Index increased 0.56% to 1107.53 points on June 9, closing the week with four out of five sessions in the green.

The index closed 6.21 points higher after losing 8.22 points on June 8.

Trading on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) fell by 30% to VND16.53 trillion (703.93 million USD).

The VN-30 basket, comprising the 30 largest capped stocks, witnessed 17 tickers gain.

Twelve blue chips closed in the red, including VJC of budget airline Vietjet with a 1.2% decline.

The HNX-Index at the Hanoi Stock Exchange increased by 0.36% while the UPCoM-Index at the Unlisted Public Companies Market was up by 0.20%.
