VN-Index plunges to three-week low

Vietnam’s benchmark VN-Index dropped 1.27% to 1,211.81 points on September 18, lowest since August 29.

Trading on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE), on which the index is based, dropped 8.8% to 19.77 trillion VND.

The VN30 basket, comprising the 30 largest capped stocks, saw 27 tickers fell.

The HNX-Index for stocks on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, home to mid and small caps, fell 0.9% while the UPCoM-Index for the Unlisted Public Companies Market dropped 0.63%.
