The index closed 4.02 points higher after gaining 2.30 points yesterday.
The HNX-Index at the Hanoi Stock Exchange, where mid and small caps list, was down 0.25% while trading on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) increased by 22.13% to 17.93 trillion VND (761.12 million USD).
The UPCoM-Index at the Unlisted Public Companies Market was up by 0.40%.
The VN-30 basket, comprising the 30 largest capped stocks, saw 16 tickers gain.
