The project, developed by FPT, covers an area of 93.24 hectares and will cost an estimated 4.362 trillion VND (174.4 million USD) to complete.
It consists of three components: an AI centre, an education zone and a supporting urban zone.
The AI centre will be a venue for research, software production, digital transformation assistance and cybersecurity solution provision.
The education zone will be the location of an escalator school, which provides education from the primary level to the high school level.
The accompanying urban zone will provide essential services to help attract high-quality human resources in advanced technologies.
The project is expected to help transform Binh Dinh into a regional AI centre by promoting innovation, investment and research in the AI sector.
In 2021, FPT signed an agreement with Binh Dinh Province on digital transformation to help make the south-central coastal province into a national leader in digital transformation.
