100th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s first arrival in Vladivostok City marked

The Vietnamese Consulate General in Vladivostok organised a ceremony on May 20, at the Versailles Hotel Hall, to mark the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's first arrival in Vladivostok City, Russia.

The event was attended by the Consul General of Vietnam in Vladivostok, Nguyen Dang Hien, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vladivostok City, and a large number of Vietnamese people living and studying in the city.

The ceremony was held at the Versailles Hotel, where President Ho Chi Minh stayed during his visits to Vladivostok.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vietnamese Consul General in Vladivostok, Nguyen Dang Hien, reviewed the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh.

Representatives from both countries affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh laid the foundation for the good friendship between Vietnam and the former Soviet Union in the past and Vietnam-Russia today.

The Vietnamese Consulate General in Vladivostok held a photo exhibition of President Ho Chi Minh's life and activities, and the friendly relationship between Vietnam and Russia.

To remember when President Ho Chi Minh came to Vladivostok, the City Government decided to install souvenir signs at the train station and build a bust of the late President Ho Chi Minh in the flower garden on Borisenko Street.

On the same day, the Consul General of Vietnam, the Vietnamese community in Vladivostok, and Russian friends offered flowers to Uncle Ho's Monument in the flower garden on Borisenko Street.

Standing in front of the Monument of President Ho Chi Minh, everyone reviewed his great contributions, and historical milestones in the good traditional friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation, and acknowledged the sincere feelings ​​of the Russian people in general and the city of Vladivostok in particular for President Ho Chi Minh.
