Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan visited the Museum of Victory over B-52 Bombers in Hanoi, which displayed over 7,115 artifacts and 300 documentary photos on the daily life of the Hanoian people and soldiers during the last 12 days and nights of December in 1972.
He expressed his hopes that the museum staff will continue to uphold the sense of responsibility and improve knowledge, experience, soft skills and foreign language qualifications to fulfill their assigned tasks.
The same day, Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan, also visited an exhibition named ‘Hanoi – Dien Bien Phu in the Air - Victory’ at the Vietnam Military History Museum in Hanoi.
The exhibition once again affirmed that the ‘Hanoi – Dien Bien Phu in the Air’ victory was a great turning point in Vietnam’s struggle for national independence and freedom, a symbol of the nation’s resilience and daunting character, the Vietnamese people’s pride and a valuable lesson on the intelligence, bravery and a great military talent of the Vietnamese army and people.
* On the same day, the Air Defence-Air Forces Service held a ceremony in Hanoi to mark the 40th anniversary of ‘Hanoi – Dien Bien Phu in the Air’ victory.
Speaking at the ceremony, member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC), Chief of Vietnam’s Air Defence - Air Force Service, Lieutenant General Phuong Minh Hoa reviewed glorious tradition of ‘Hanoi – Dien Bien Phu in the Air’ victory, a decisive victory against the US B52-bomber-led air strikes and key to the overall victory against the US 40 years ago.
He asked the soldiers and officers of the Air Defence-Air Forces Service to continue building strength a unified bloc and being loyal to the Party, State and people, as well as upholding tradition of the victory, Vietnam People’s Army in general and the Air Defence-Air Forces Service in particular.
