Attending the event were hundreds of performers and artisans from Lai Chau (Viet Nam), alongside delegations from diverse localities of Yunnan (China).
The special art performances were elaborately staged, imbued with the cultural colors of each region. The song and dance performance “Border Friendship” performed by actors and actresses from both countries opened the program, conveying the message of peace, solidarity and cooperation..
A highlight of the event was the duet “Friendship” between Vietnamese and Chinese singers, an expression of cultural harmony between the two traditions. The programme also featured an ethnic costume showcase, presenting the distinctive aesthetics of the region’s borderland communities.
The Vietnam-China art exchange programme is not only the highlight of this year's Lai Chau Tourism-Culture Week, but also contributes to strengthening traditional friendship, enhancing people-to-people exchanges and promoting the image of Lai Chau - a rich-in-identity, friendly and integrated land.
Through performances bearing the mark of the two nations, the event introduced to international friends the beauty of Lai Chau's culture and people, while opening up opportunities for cooperation in tourism, culture and economic development in the coming time.
