Jointly organised by the Chinese Cultural Centre in Ha Noi and VTV News, the contest forms part of activities commemorating the 75th anniversary of Viet Nam–China diplomatic relations (1950–2025) and the Year of Viet Nam–China Humanistic Exchange in 2025.
The competition features two topics. The first, entitled “Warm Moments on My Journey Encountering China”, invites participants to share personal experiences and memorable encounters during their studies or interactions with Chinese culture, history, and people.
The second, “Modernising China Through My Lens”, encourages contestants to reflect on their perceptions and observations of China’s development and reform process, as well as the achievements of bilateral cooperation across different fields.
The contest is open to Vietnamese people from diverse backgrounds, including scholars, business leaders, Vietnamese–Chinese families, media professionals, university students, and individuals with a passion for Chinese culture. It also welcomes those who have studied abroad, worked, or travelled in China, or taken part in cooperation projects under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
Submissions are accepted in three categories: text, including short articles of 800 to 1,500 words and poetry; visual, including short videos of under three minutes with Vietnamese or Chinese subtitles, and photographs; and artworks, including calligraphy, painting, and original art forms. Participants may compete in one or both topics, submitting a separate entry for each.
Entries should be sent by email to moiduyenvoiTrungQuoccuatoi@gmail.com or by post to VTV Times, 43 Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, Giang Vo Ward, Ha Noi, no later than 30 November 2025. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony scheduled for December 2025.
