Jointly organised by the Embassy of Cuba in Viet Nam, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organisations, the Red Cross Society, and the Department of Culture and Sports of Ha Noi, the programme marked the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Cuba (December 2, 1960 – December 2, 2025).
At the event, delegates revisited the glorious milestones in the long-standing construction of the special friendship between the two nations, especially during the shared struggle for national liberation and socialism.
The programme featured songs celebrating the homeland, the nation, Ha Noi – the “City for Peace” – and the loyal friendship and brotherhood between the two countries and peoples.
Opening the evening were three performances by Vietnamese artists, rich in the essence of Vietnamese folk culture and the spirit of the capital city.
The audience was treated to the Cuban folk dance performance “Yo soy Cubano – La Ruñidera,” composed by artists Los Papines and Elito Revé.
To make the programme even more lively, Vietnamese–Cuban artist duo Hong Dung and Elizabeth Ocana Gonzalez, together with dancers from the Thang Long Music and Dance Theatre, set the stage ablaze with the colourful and passionate performance of “Guantanamera.”
The programme concluded with several famous songs about Viet Nam, President Ho Chi Minh and the Viet Nam–Cuba relationship.
