The most searched destinations are Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hanoi, Hoi An and Nha Trang.
Recently Agoda has recorded an increase in searches for travel between Vietnam and Australia, which matches official data released by the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism and Tourism Australia.
The surge in Australian searches for Vietnamese destinations was attributed to the demand to avoid winter in the southern hemisphere and enjoy warm tropical weather in Vietnam.
Agoda Vietnam Director Vu Ngoc Lam shared that Vietnam is a hospitable destination and an ideal place for visitors who love its culture, cuisine, and landscapes and explore dynamic cities.
Besides the two major cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hoi An and Nha Trang are also attractive destinations to Australian visitors for their beaches, culture and pleasant weather.
Agoda data also showed that Vietnamese searches for Australian destinations surged 36% compared to last year, with the most searched cities being Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane.
