Based on the theory of multiple intelligences by Howard Gardner, a renowned American psychologist, the assessment of human capacity needs to move beyond preconceptions about IQ or traditional school subjects in order to discover and develop each individual’s distinct strengths.
With the desire to promote comprehensive education for teenagers aged 13 to 18, a group of students from Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted in Phu Tho Province initiated “The Untitled Project”. Beginning with raising individual awareness, the project has gradually expanded to community responsibility, bringing skills and knowledge to students in mountainous areas and those in difficult circumstances.
A highlight this year is the project’s third season, with the event series “Spot ur spot - Identify your place”, which is expected to officially conclude in November 2026. Carrying the main message “Beyond The IQ”, this season focuses on the semi-boarding experimental summer camp “The Eclipsed - Hidden Colours”, held last August in Vinh Yen City, Phu Tho Province, attracting more than 50 lower secondary school students aged 12 to 14, from grades 7, 8 and 9.
The name “The Eclipsed” symbolises potentials that remain hidden beneath conventional measures of achievement. The programme was designed with two main activity zones: interactive classes on nine types of intelligence and the experiential model “Gardner’s Code”.
There, students took part in nine challenge stations representing different capacities: linguistic, logical, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalist and philosophical. Through group activities, students identified their own strengths, practised cooperation skills and expanded friendships. To date, the project’s official fanpage has recorded 7,300 followers.
Sharing about the event, Nguyen Chau Sa, a student at Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted in Phu Tho Province and co-head of the organising committee for the third season, said: “The idea of a practical experiential playground had been cherished from the first days of the launch. We devoted our enthusiasm to ‘The Eclipsed’ as a key highlight, with the hope of opening up confidence and helping younger students move steadily forward on the journey of discovering their own potential.”
The success of this year’s season is the result of efforts to sow and nurture seeds over a long period since July 2024. Looking back at the initial stage in the first season, from July 2024 to May 2025, the project focused on helping young people explore their inner selves and look towards grassroots communities.
Activities included the online forum “Why do we fail? - Why have we not achieved what we want?” on time management skills; the experiential activity “Moment” connecting families; and the talk “Find Your Aura” with speaker Van Thi Thanh Binh from the University of Languages and International Studies under Viet Nam National University, Ha Noi.
In addition, through the fundraising event “Suong”, the project organised the “Ban Mai” programme at Yen Duong Lower Secondary School, teaching the topic “A balanced lifestyle” to students of class 8C and presenting scholarships worth 5,000,000 VND to support students overcoming difficulties.
In the second season, from August 2025 to February 2026, the programme shifted towards equipping students with digital skills and integration capacity. After the fundraising activity series, the event “Vut Bay” (Taking Flight) was held on February 1, 2026, at Ham Yen Boarding Lower and Upper Secondary School for Ethnic Minority Students in Tuyen Quang Province.
The programme brought the class “How to make use of social media for self-development” to more than 80 grade-8 boarding students, while also presenting books and learning gifts. By the end of the second season, the project’s official communication channel had reached 5,300 followers.
The project’s development journey reflects a positive trend in modern education, encouraging young people to confidently affirm their identity, develop multidimensional capacities and move beyond traditional assessment frameworks.
