Brilliant colours of Dien Bien in Hanoi

The pedestrian street space around Hoan Kiem Lake is “newly dressed” as the Dien Bien Culture and Tourism Week programme in Hanoi takes place, intending to promote the potential and strengths of Dien Bien's culture and tourism to the public.

On the evening of December 15, at the space of Ba Kieu Temple (Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi), the People\s Committee of Dien Bien Province opened the Dien Bien Culture and Tourism Week in Hanoi, with the theme “Brilliant Dien Bien colours”.

The event saw the presence of Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee, Tran Quoc Cuong.

Dien Bien Culture and Tourism Week was organised in Hanoi to introduce, preserve and promote various types of ethnic cultural heritages of Dien Bien Province and associate cultural preservation with promoting tourism potential and socio-economic development.

This is also an opportunity to promote and introduce the National Tourism Year Programme - Dien Bien 2024 and other key events that will contribute to building and promoting the tourism brand of Dien Bien Province.

The programme included a traditional costume performance, performing folk games and traditional dances.

This will be the place to introduce traditional handicrafts and cultural and artistic activities, recreating the space of the Thai ethnic good luck ceremony.

Visitors also have the opportunity to learn about and shop at 30 display booths introducing the cuisine and tourism products of Dien Bien.
