Da Nang: Photo exhibition introduces land, culture and people of Dien Bien Phu City

A photo exhibition opened in Da Nang City on June 30, introducing visitors to the land, culture and people of Dien Bien Phu City and the historic Dien Bien Phu victory in 1954.

The 180 photos on display focus on various topics, including the unique culture, cuisine, costumes, and festivals of ethnic groups in Dien Bien province; and historical sites and popular tourist destinations in the province, such as Pha Din mountain pass, Pa Khoang Lake, Dien Bien Phu battlefield, Muong Luan and Chieng So towers.

Notably, the exhibits chronicled the happenings and importance of the historic Dien Bien Phu victory on May 7, 1954, which contributed to the decisive end of the resistance war against the French colonialists.

Visitors to the four-day exhibition can also get updated on efforts made by Dien Bien Province in preserving and promoting the cultural value of their heritages and historical sites.
