The opening ceremony of the second World Culture Festival in Ha Noi 2026, themed “Heritage Convergence – Shaping the Future”, was held in a vibrant and solemn atmosphere on the evening of October 1 at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel.

The event was jointly organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ha Noi People’s Committee to mark the 50th anniversary of Viet Nam’s accession to UNESCO.

Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra said the festival provided an opportunity to bring Vietnamese culture closer to the world and the world closer to Viet Nam.
