The event aims to foster a creative ecosystem and establish Da Nang as a “Heritage-Creative-Distinctive” city.

The Da Nang Art Creatives Connection (DACC) is a large-scale arts and creative event featuring exhibitions, contemporary dance performances, workshops, and discussions. Under the theme “History of Tomorrow,” the event offers a fresh perspective by approaching history not as a static value, but as a living resource that is continuously reinterpreted, recreated, and carried forward into the present.

A highlight of DACC 2026 is the creation of an immersive arts experience spanning the Da Nang Museum and the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture. These two prominent cultural institutions reflect the formation and development of the region, preserve invaluable Cham heritage, and form part of the urban memory along the Han River. Bringing contemporary art into these heritage spaces opens up a new approach: rather than focusing solely on preservation, it actively engages with and promotes cultural values. The two museums will serve as dialogic spaces where art, history, and urban life intersect to offer the public fresh cultural experiences.

Throughout the event, DACC 2026 will bring together numerous artists, curators, artisans, and cultural organisations from Viet Nam and Southeast Asia for more than 20 activities. These events are designed as open platforms to enhance interaction, gradually transitioning the public from passive spectators to active participants and co-creators of artistic practices in an urban context.

The event has received strong backing from local independent creative spaces, including A Song, MORUA, Rare Sea, Trieu Pham, and GenY. The opening ceremony of DACC 2026 will officially take place at 5pm on October 30, 2026, on the grounds of the Da Nang Museum.

The DACC project is envisioned as an annual event, with plans to scale up to establish a strong foundation for artistic connectivity and foster the city’s creative ecosystem. More than a theme, “History of Tomorrow” affirms a strategic vision: viewing heritage as a foundation for creativity and using art as a driving force to shape a sustainable future for the city.
