Ceremony marks 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s visit to Nam Dinh Province

A ceremony was held in Nam Dinh Province, on May 19 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s visit to the northern province (May 21, 1963-2023), under the presence of President Vo Van Thuong.

The event is part of activities marking the 133rd birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh.

Speaking at the ceremony, President Vo Van Thuong highly valued Nam Dinh’s development achievements over the past years, affirming that they are living proofs of fulfilling the promise made to the beloved Uncle Ho when he visited Nam Dinh.

He asked the provincial Party Committee and people to fully realise the role, position, potential, advantages, difficulties and challenges of the province, and draw valuable lessons in socio-economic development, defence and security of the locality, as well as promote the campaign of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and lifestyle and his teachings.

The State leader noted that the provincial authorities and people should attach great importance to natural resource management, environmental protection, climate change response, and disease and disaster prevention and control.

President Thuong said Nam Dinh Province should continue to preserve and promote the tradition of studiousness, history, culture, patriotism and revolution, for the cause of national construction and safeguarding.

The President also stressed the importance of building a healthy cultural environment and new-style rural areas, focusing on healthcare for people, promoting social security and constantly improving the material and spiritual life of the people.
