The event was held by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications, in collaboration with the Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House’s Ho Chi Minh City branch, as part of activities to celebrate the 133rd birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh and 112th anniversary of Uncle Ho leaving Vietnam, to seek ways to save the nation.
The book recalls the first stage of President Ho Chi Minh's life, from his childhood to the time he left Saigon,to seek ways to save the nation, as well as highlights the great respect and love of compatriots and soldiers in the south for Uncle Ho and his affection and nostalgia for the South.

The book was divided into two parts, with the first collecting articles about Uncle Ho's childhood and the second recording the touching stories of some people who were fortunate and honoured to meet Uncle Ho, including writer Trinh Quang Phu.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Quynh Nga, Director of the Su ThatNational Political Publishing House’s Ho Chi Minh City branch said, the book is a valuable publication that contributes to enriching Ho Chi Minh's cultural space.

On the occasion, publishing houses have been introducing and displaying documents, books and publications about President Ho Chi Minh. The exhibits depict his life and revolutionary career, as well as promote the campaign of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and style.
In addition, the Young Publishing House also presented a bookcase of Ho Chi Minh heritage at the Ho Chi Minh Museum’s city branch.
