He also appreciated the active participation of the Overseas Vietnamese community and enterprises in the host country in promoting Vietnam's image in Brunei, expressing his belief that they will continue to play a positive role in strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, Dr Hazri bin Kifle, Vice-Chancellor of UBD, emphasised the importance of education and cultural-linguistic understanding as keys to success in today's multicultural world.
He affirmed UBD's appreciation of the Vietnamese language programme, which was launched in 2022 to foster cultural exchange and understanding among Bruneian students.
He also noted with pleasure that UBD has hosted several high-level Vietnamese delegations, including Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s official visit in February 2023.
This event aimed to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam's National Reunification Day and reinforce cultural ties, educational cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges between Vietnam and Brunei.
