Speaking at the congress, Vice President Thinh appreciated the achievements gained by the construction sector over the past five years.
She asked the sector to improve the efficiency of State management of construction, planning and architecture towards a modern infrastructure.
It is crucial to develop the construction industry more advanced through the application of science and technology, meeting the domestic requirements of construction, especially large-scale major projects, added the Vice President.
She also noted that the construction sector should continue to boost patriotic emulation movements in association with studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideals, morality and lifestyle.
The patriotic emulation work should be associated with the prompt rewarding and honouring of outstanding individuals and collectives.
At the congress, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh presented first-class, second-class and third-class Labour Orders to a total of six collectives and individuals.
Six other units received the Government’s emulation flag and five individuals were presented the with the Prime Minister’s certificate of merit.
* Also that day, Vice President Thinh attended the ceremony to mark the tenth anniversary of the Natural Science High School for Gifted Students.
On the occasion, the school received the title of “Labour Hero in the renewal process”.
