The Cuban leader said the Party, Government and people of Cuba share the sorrow and the sense of loss felt by the Vietnamese nation from the passing away of the legendary soldier, a close friend of Cuba who struggled for the freedom of Vietnam.
He also affirmed that the Cuban people will remember General Giap forever with profound admiration and respect, and that the Cuban revolutionary armed forces will always treasure the general’s invaluable contributions to Cuba’s military doctrine.
