Oil painting exhibition in memory of President Ho’s birthday

An oil painting exhibition entitled ‘May reminds us of Uncle Ho’ opened on May 16 in Hanoi as an event to celebrate the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday (May 19, 1890 – 2020).

The three-day exhibition displays 13 oil paintings portraying President Ho at work and in his daily life. The exhibits were selected from more than 100 pieces by 65-year-old painter Thai Hoa over the past five years.

This was the first solo exhibition of Hanoi-based painter Thai Hoa, a graduate from the Surikov Art Institute in Moscow, Russia.

Also, on the occasion of the President Ho’s 130th birthday, the Ho Chi Minh City Publishing House released a three-volume book entitled ‘Researching Ho Chi Minh – Selected research works’.

Authored by Assoc. Prof., Dr. Bui Dinh Phong, the book includes dozens of articles discussing President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology on various fields of colonialism and national liberation revolution, socialism and the path toward socialism in Vietnam, culture, and social issues.
