Taking place from April 21-23, the space features 20 booths recalling the characteristics of the ancient Dong Ho painting market.
Visitors have the chance to enjoy the folk paintings and hear introductions to the craft of Dong Ho painting, the materials and production process, as well as experience some of the steps in making a Dong Ho painting.
Notably, talented young people will show their skills in making “hoa kim sa” (drawing with metal materials) artworks inspired by Dong Ho paintings.

Nguyen Van Luyen, Deputy Director of the Centre for Monuments Conservation and Tourism Promotion of Bac Ninh Province, affirmed that the space aims to contribute to protecting and promoting a precious cultural heritage of Bac Ninh among people and visitors.
Currently, Bac Ninh is carrying out the One Commune One Product (OCOP) tourism project and the Dong Ho folk painting craft village (Song Ho Ward, Thuan Thanh Town) has been selected as one of three localities to pilot the building of an experiential tourist destination.

Dong Ho folk painting line originates from Dong Ho Village in Tu Khe Residential Area, Song Ho Ward, Thuan Thanh Town, Bac Ninh Province.
Dong Ho folk painting craft was recognised as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2013. In March 2020, Vietnam submitted the dossier of Dong Hoa folk painting craft to UNESCO for its recognition as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in need of urgent protection and it is expected to be considered by UNESCO's Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage this year.
