Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism launches emulation campaign to achieve sustainable “double-digit” growth

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued a plan to implement the emulation campaign titled “Determined to Successfully Achieve the Sustainable ‘Double-Digit’ Growth Target for 2026–2030”, with the aim of creating a vibrant emulation movement across the sector and helping make culture, information, sports, and tourism important pillars and key drivers of socio-economic development.

The emulation campaign will be implemented at agencies and units under the ministry, involving their cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers, during the 2026–2030 period.

According to the plan, the campaign aims to effectively implement the Party’s policies and guidelines, with a focus on the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and Politburo Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW (dated January 7, 2026) on the development of Vietnamese culture. It will thereby promote solidarity, innovation, and a strong desire to contribute, while creating breakthroughs in reform and development-oriented governance, contributing to the successful achievement of the country’s sustainable “double-digit” growth target.

To help achieve this target, the campaign will focus on unlocking, promoting, and making effective use of all resources; supporting businesses; accelerating science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, green transformation, and sustainable energy; managing and using resources efficiently; protecting the environment; and practising thrift and combating wastefulness.

The campaign will also promote new-style rural development, sustainable poverty reduction, and socio-economic development in areas inhabited by ethnic minority communities and mountainous regions, towards building modern and sustainable rural areas while preserving cultural identities.

Another key focus is building a modern, professional, and incorruptible public administration; improving the quality and effectiveness of two-tier local government in serving the people and businesses; and meeting the requirements of rapid and sustainable development, under the motto “government close to the people, rooted in the grassroots, dedicated and effective in serving.”

At the same time, the campaign aims to develop cultural value systems; improve the quality of education and training and healthcare; promote social progress and equality; and strengthen the protection, improvement, and comprehensive enhancement of people’s living standards.

Through the emulation campaign, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism hopes to inspire a proactive spirit and the courage to think, act, and take responsibility for the common good, while improving the quality and effectiveness of advisory work in performing the state management functions in the fields of culture, information, sports, and tourism.

The ministry will also provide timely, public, and transparent commendations for collectives and individuals with outstanding or exceptional achievements, as well as those with initiatives and solutions delivering practical results, thereby contributing to the achievement of the sustainable “double-digit” growth target for 2026–2030.
