Owned by Nguyen Dang Che, the exhibition house is the first private exhibition house to be open in Bac Ninh Province, displaying Dong Ho folk paintings.
The exhibition house’s space is arranged into seven topics, introducing major steps in the process of making Dong Ho folk paintings, as well as the life and career of Nguyen Dang Che, who is passionate about preserving and promoting the folk art genre.
Images and documents on display at the exhibition house are presented in Vietnamese and English.
Over the past years, Nguyen Dang Che has collected thousands of wood prints, hundreds of paintings and dozens of collections of Dong Ho folk painting art, many dating more than 200 years.
Previously, in 2006, he launched the Dong Ho Folk Painting Centre, which has welcomed thousands of visitors at home and abroad who are enthusiasts of Vietnamese culture.
