The programme was hosted by the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation Central Council in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (1954-2024)

The participants included 200 children from across the country who came to Dien Bien Province to attend the Dien Bien Little Soldiers Festival, along with 300 local children in the province.

The Dien Bien Little Soldiers Festival honoured 200 child delegates, aged between 10 and 15, who achieved outstanding academic results and showed enthusiastic participation and contributions to the children’s activities and movements.

Prior to the event, the 200 child delegates attended an incense and flower offering ceremony at Dien Bien Phu Battlefield’s Temple of Fallen Soldiers and visited Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum.

They also participated in a knowledge contest to study the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory and joined a children’s camp displaying cultural and cuisine products of Vietnamese ethnic groups.
