Speaking at the ceremony, State Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh praised the MoIT’s initiative to honour artisans and craftsmen. She also emphasised the respect and recognition of the Party, State and people for the talent and dedication of the artisans.

The artisans have worked for a long time in many traditional crafts, including embroidery, pottery, jewelery, bronze casting, and wood sculpture.

The titles are given to honour craftspeople who have made significant contributions to safeguarding and promoting their ancestors’ traditional crafts and handing down the practices to younger generations.

They are also acknowledged for developing the brand of Vietnamese traditional handicraft products and making them more popular to the world.

A photo exhibition on Vietnamese traditional handicrafts was also held on this occasion.
