The exhibition, themed “Organic matter”, showcases art workscreated by Japanese artist Yumiko Ono. The inspiration for the works stems from Metabolism - an architectural movement of Japan between that was popular in the late 1950s and early 1970s of the 20th century.
With soft architectures made in many different shapes, artist Yumiko Ono has attempted to create a world between real and unreal worlds as well as a dialogue between horizontal and vertical in her 2D works and between depth and volume in her 3D works.
Yumiko Ono, a young, renowned and well-informed female painter, has studied and worked in many countries in Asia and Europe.
Over the past ten years, she has participated in nearly 70 individual and cooperative exhibitions.
The exhibition will last until January 31.
