Film week celebrates 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory

A film week celebrating the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954-2024) officially opened at the People's Army Cinema in Hanoi on May 3.

The film week will feature 8 films, including 4 documentaries produced by the People’s Army Cinema and 4 other feature films produced by domestic units and studios.

The documentary “Ban hung ca Dien Bien Phu” (The Epic of Dien Bien Phu) and the feature film “Hoa ban do” (Red Bauhinia Flower) were screened on the opening day, attracting the great attention from audiences.

The films once again helps the audiences learn more about the Dien Bien Phu Campaign while affirming the significance, stature and historical value of Dien Bien Phu Victory.

They also contribute to educating historical traditions, revolutionary heroism and patriotism among all people, especially younger generations.

The film week will last until May 6 at the People's Army Cinema at No.17 Ly Nam De Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.
