The screening of the painting aims to help all Vietnamese people both in the country and abroad, especially those of younger generations, to remember and recall the heroic days of the nation’s history.

The painting is screened in four stages, with the first featuring images of Vietnamese people taking carts to transport goods and equipment to the frontline, brave soldiers pulling artillery, and simple meals of the soldiers.

The second stage depicts the image of soldiers volunteering for battle, and military doctors and nurses taking care of wounded soldiers; meanwhile the third part, themed “"Historical Confrontation”, reproduces the image of soldiers crawling through tunnels and the scenes of battle and sacrifice.

The fourth part highlights the victory, with the Vietnamese national flag fluttering on top of the De Castries’ Bunker and the soldiers escorting General De Castries and the prisoners out of the bunker.

The screening of the panoramic painting using 3D mapping technology affirms the position and importance of the Dien Bien Phu Victory in the country’s history.

The event also contributes to encourage patriotism and evoke gratitude and the love for peace and freedom among younger generations.
