An art programme connecting five locations nationwide was held by Vietnam Television (VTV) on May 5 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - 2024).

The locations comprised the yard in front of the Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument on Hill D1 in the northwestern province of Dien Bien, Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, Lam Son Square in the central province of Thanh Hoa, the Kon Klor Communal House in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum, and the Thu Ngu Flagpole relic site in Ho Chi Minh City.

At Dien Bien, the event was attended by former Presidents Nguyen Minh Triet and Truong Tan Sang; former Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Van An; Phan Dien, Former Politburo member and former Permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat; Tran Thanh Man, Politburo member and Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; General Luong Cuong, Politburo member and Chairman of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education; Tran Hong Ha, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister; and Tran Quoc Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee.
